Neutral Bay apartment on famed AC/DC site is up for sale

A chance to own a slice of Australian music history is up for grabs with a three-bedroom Neutral Bay apartment on the site of a famed recording studio for sale.

No. 203/9-11 Rangers Rd, in the Muse apartment complex is located where Alberts music studios once stood. The studio launched the careers of Australian chart legends AC/DC, The Easybeats, The Angels and Rose Tattoo.

It was known as the “House of Hits’’ and was a creative hub for songwriters, producers and singers.

Over time it has been an Australian base for many international artists including Ellie Goulding, David Guetta and Jasmine Ash.

CBRE Residential’s Robert Alfreldi and Caroline Fagerlund are selling the property for an undisclosed price via private treaty. Owner occupier downsizers and executive couples are expected to be the key buyer groups.

The open plan layout incorporates the living, dining and kitchen rooms into one big area that connects to a large balcony — creating a seamless indoor outdoor space.

Features include study with built-in joinery, overhead polyurethane cupboards, under-bench drawer and power and phone points for high speed internet connection.

The apartment is one of 23 apartments in the building with 16 of them having three bedrooms.

At the bottom of the building are a number of cafes and restaurants with a Woolworths next door.

The property is a minute walk to Neutral Bay Junction where there are bus services to the city, Chatswood and northern beaches.
